Services & Benefits for Employers

Conference Facilities
Employers can use the OhioMeansJobs conference facilities or office space for recruitment, job fairs or private interviews.

Layoff & Dislocated Worker Services
If your business is planning a layoff or plant closing, our OhioMeansJobs Rapid Response Team can provide transition assistance for both employers and employees. Our team of professionals will be onsite to deliver comprehensive services that include training dollars for education, credentials or skills upgrade, reemployment assistance, resume workshops and much more.

Incumbent Worker Training
The Incumbent Worker Training Program is structured to provide training dollars to help businesses remain competitive through skills upgrade training for existing full-time employees. The business may use public, private, or its own in-house training provider based on the nature of the training.

On the Job Training
On-the-job training (OJT) is one of the best training methods offered under the Workforce Investment Act because it is planned, organized, and conducted at the employee's work site. OJT funding is generally used as the primary method for broadening employee skills and increasing productivity. It is particularly appropriate for developing proficiency skills unique to an employee's job - especially jobs that are relatively easy to learn and require locally-owned equipment and facilities.
