Helping Families with Temporary Cash Assistance & Other Programs
Through BenefitsPlus, Clark County Department of Job and Family Services (CCDJFS) helps families eliminate obstacles to gaining and maintaining employment and supporting themselves.
Temporary Assistance
As families work toward self-sufficient living, BenefitsPlus helps out with temporary cash assistance, food, medical coverage, medical and job transportation and child care - essential factors in getting and keeping a job and supporting a family. Through other programs, CCDJFS helps people get training to improve work skills and find employment while BenefitsPlus provides support to qualified families.
Qualifications
To qualify for assistance, recipients must participate in work-related activities, such as work experience programs, employment, and education or job training. OhioMeansJobs of Clark County, a division of CCDJFS, provides these programs in partnership with other organizations.
