In 1991, Jaycee Dugard was kidnapped by 2 strangers from a bus stop in her hometown of Lake Tahoe. She survived years of sexual, physical and emotional abuse at the hands of her 2 assailants. She was finally reunited with her mother and family in 2009, 18 years after she was taken.

Guest Speaker, Terry Probyn is Jaycee's mom and has been in the media speaking about child safety, abduction, and victims’ rights since her daughter’s abduction. She is the founder of the Just Ask Yourself to Care Foundation (JAYC) that provides support and services to ensure the timely treatment of families that are recovering from abduction and the aftermath of other traumatic experiences. The Foundation’s believes that by empowering the whole family you heal the central victim.

Guest Speaker, Rebecca Bailey, PhD, is a leading family psychologist and personal therapist to Jaycee. She has worked as the director of the Sonoma Police Department’s youth and family services program and is the founder of Transitioning Families. She continues to work with a variety of state and national organizations such as The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
