Power Outage

As of 11 AM today, the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services is without electrical power, phones, or computers.  However, we are open at the Lagonda campus (1345 Lagonda Avenue) for limited services from 8AM to 5PM during this emergency period.  Staff are located at the entrances to buildings and at the Departments maintenance building located at 736 Pauline Street (adjacent to 1346 Lagonda).  Details regarding specific programs and divisions are:

Food Stamps and Food Stamp Replacement, Cash Assistance and Medical:

All meetings and appointments with case managers are cancelled until the Agency is able to open with full power.  While the Agency is operating under limited ability, individuals with scheduled appointments will not suffer any negative consequences to their benefits. When offices do open for regular business, first priority will be given to new applicants whose appointments were scheduled when the office was closed.  Redetermination appointments during this time will be scheduled at a later date and will suffer no penalties.
Families or individuals with income eligibility and are currently receiving food stamps may be eligible for a replacement benefit.  This emergency assistance is currently available at the Lagonda campus.

Child Support Services:

Child Support payments may be made in cash at 736 Pauline Street if the main building at 1346 Lagonda is not open.  Genetic Testing will occur at the Lagonda Campus at 736 Pauline Street if the main building is not open.  All court hearings are being conducted as scheduled.  Review and Adjustment hearings are being conducted.  Customers may drop off any materials.
