National Grandparents Day 2009
National Grandparents Day which is held the first Sunday after Labor Day will be celebrated on September 13, 2009. President Jimmy Carter proclaimed this holiday in 1978 after efforts initiated by Marian McQuade, of Fayette County, West Virginia.
