(A Pacesetter Agency)
Rising to the challenge once again, the Job and Family Services of Clark County (JFSCC) United Way Committee along with JFSCC employees have succeeded in raising over $20,000 for the United Way of Clark, Champaign and Madison Counties! The 2008 Committee: Kristie Heckman, Trish Wagner, Megan Brown, Tiffany Sizemore, Kim Smith, Peggy Walling, Susan Skinner, Kerry Pedraza and Holly McHenry, began fund raising on August 1, 2008.
As a Pacesetter agency the goal was to raise $18,000 which was surpassed by $2,000. The Committee held multiple fund raising events in an attempt to reach this goal. A big THANK YOU goes to all three JFSCC Activities Committees and to the Executive Committee for donating money which enabled the purchase and raffle of a Nintendo Wii. Also included in the raffle was a highly sought after “Wheel of Fortune” lottery wheel that consisted of 50 $1 scratch-off tickets and the ever popular 50/50 drawing. Another successful fund raising event that raised over $1,200 was the “jeans days” that allowed employees to pay $1-a-day to wear jeans during the month of August. These events coupled with JFSCC employee pledges (through payroll deduction) brought in a whopping $18,610!
This Pacesetter agency is thrilled to be giving the United Way $20,788!
