Family and Children Services of Clark County to Launch Network of Care Website
Family and Children Services, a division of Job and Family Services of Clark County, recently partnered with Trilogy Integrated Resources, Inc. to provide a broad array of social services online to people with disabilities, the elderly and their caregivers.
The Network of Care is an internet web portal product that provides a highly interactive, single information source where consumers, community-based organizations and local government workers can go to access a wide variety of important social services information. The site will officially be launched during the Social Services 101 event at the Courtyard by Marriott in Springfield on October 15, at 8:30 a.m.
The website provides a simpler, faster and centralized manner for consumers, their caregivers and providers to find appropriate community services that are available to them. It also has the capacity for consumers to maintain a personal information record that could also be used by care coordinators.
The site provides significantly improved community access to information and services for all consumers, including people with disabilities, people with limited or no English literacy skills and for low-income individuals.
Educational materials can be accessed regarding diseases and conditions, medications and treatments, care management issues, prevention, early intervention, planning, consumer advocacy and protection and other related topics on Mental Health.
It also provides a mechanism for greater communication among consumers as well as greater advocacy capability between the long-term care community policy makers. Information can easily be accessed about county, state and federal programs and assistance. To view, click here: http://www.clark.oh.networkofcare.org/family/resource/find.cfm
