Program Manager

The Program Manager (PM) position is responsible for managing, organizing and tracking all the tasks required to deliver a new program on time, within budget and with zero quality defects. An open and honest communication with peers and management is expected. Use of the APQP checklist to assign, coordinate and track individual tasks is required. The PM will act as the liaison with the customer and support the Account Manager with current and future sales as needed. Success will be measured by completing project on time, within budget and with zero quality defects.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Organize and follow various manufacturing projects from startup to completion. Create and publish progress reports using the designated software, from project inception through the first 60 days of production. Assign tasks and maintain the APQP checklist on a weekly basis, by monitoring to assure tasks are completed and signed-off in accordance with the schedule. Schedule weekly APQP meetings with appropriate the team members. Function as the liaison between the customer and the other plants involved in the project. Write ECRs as needed to introduce changes from the customer. Monitor all tooling builds with the Tooling Engineer to ensure project is on time and within budget. Coordinates resources required to complete the project. Assists in resolving any production or customer related problems. The Program Manager will lead the analysis of the “lessons learned”. Use experience to make suggestions to improve the APQP process and Program Management System.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field
Computer literate
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Good organizational Skills
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work will be performed intermittently in production and office environment. The use of office equipment such as computer terminals, keyboards, telephones, printers, facsimiles and copiers is required. A normal vision, hearing and speech range will be required. Intermittent sitting, standing and walking will be necessary. Occasional overnight travel to suppliers, customers and other facilities will be required.
