How Destiny Changed Their Lives.

As a busy couple with time-consuming careers, André and Caron
had never given much thought to parenthood. Caron traveled often for her job in the Air Force, and André had found his calling in social work. Between work, friends, and family, the couple was hesitant to add children to their hectic lifestyle.

But then André met a child who changed it all. As a caseworker
for a private foster care network, André met a little girl named Destiny. André and Caron started talking about adoption. Since Caron had recently retired from the Air Force, the time seemed right. They decided to go through the licensing process to become adoptive parents.

After completing their classes, paperwork and home study process, they both prayed they would be chosen to adopt Destiny. Just before their anniversary, they brought their new daughter home.

André and Caron say they have never felt such joy and love for someone, other than each other. Destiny continues to maintain contact with her grandmother, and she has wrapped her heart and hands around her entire family.

For Father’s Day, Destiny asked André what she could buy for him. He said to her, “calling me ‘daddy’ is the greatest gift you could ever give me.”
