Helping With the Cost Of Childcare

Trying to “do it all” can be too much stress for anyone. When you are juggling multiple responsibilities - work, school and family - we understand that a helping hand can make a world of difference. That is why we lend assistance to families in need of quality childcare.

Clark County Department of Job and Family Services (CCDJFS) pays part of the cost of childcare for qualifying families as they work toward self-sufficiency. This help is available for parents who are working, attending school or completing vocational training.

Families receiving this benefit must take their children to childcare providers who are licensed by CCDJFS or the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (http://jfs.ohio.gov/cdc/index.stm). The childcare benefit is paid directly to the childcare provider or center and families are expected to pay a part of the cost based on income and family size.

Choosing a Provider

Choosing a perfectly matched childcare provider is up to the family, but we are also here to help along the way. If your child attends a childcare center and you later decide that you want to change providers, you can fill out a simple childcare change request. The childcare change request can also be used when your income, employer, address or household structure changes, and you would need to have the changes documented into our system.

We all need a little help sometimes. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us - we’re here to help you get quality, trustworthy childcare.
