Help Us Assure Proper Use of Funds for Those Who Need Assistance

The Fraud and Benefit Recovery Unit of Clark County Department of Job and Family Services prevents and detects fraudulent use of public assistance benefits, helping to make sure funds are available for those who need help. Cases of fraud are referred to the county prosecutor for criminal or civil action and CCDJFS collection of over-payment of benefits are in accordance with state and federal regulations.


Benefits overseen by the Fraud and Benefit Recovery Unit include:

  • Child-Care Funds
  • Food Assistance
  • Medicaid
  • Ohio Works First
  • Prevention, Retention and Contingency (PRC) Funds
